LA CASA ROSSA
Scortate da 60 carabinieri, 100 donne giunsero nella sperduta stazione di Alberobello: slave, greche, albanesi e francesi sorprese dalla guerra nazifascista, e alcune donne tedesche e austriache sorprese dalla guerra di liberazione. Donne detenute per le accuse più diverse e considerate tra le più pericolose, donne indesiderabili: “le segnorine”. Le testimonianze e i documenti ritrovati raccontano, al contrario, storie tristi di abbandono, prostituzione e di amori perduti, qui evocate attraverso giochi di luci ed ombre proiettate dai pertugi nei muri, dalle finestre. Fasci di luce attraversano le stanze vuote come fantasmi che si aggirano fra le mura possenti della Casa Rossa.
THE RED HOUSE
Accompanied by 60 carabinieri, 100 women arrived in the lost station of Alberobello: slave, Greek, Albanian and French surprises from the Nazi-fascist war, and some German and Austrian women surprised by the war of liberation. Women detained for the most diverse and thoughtful accusations among the most dangerous, undesirable women: "the little girls". The evidence and documents found tell, on the contrary, sad stories of abandonment, prostitution and lost love, here evoked through plays of light and shadows projected from the pertugi into the walls, from the windows. Beams of light cross the empty rooms like ghosts that wander through the mighty walls of the Red House.
